Locals urge authorities to ban heavy vehicles plying through narrow road

Ganderbal, Apr 26 (KNO): Residential houses in Bandipora area of Nuner in Ganderbal have developed cracks due to heavy traffic allowed through the narrow road. The residents of the area told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that infrastructure isn't designed to handle heavy volume of traffic, causing traffic jams as well as affecting residential houses. “School going children, elderly persons and patients are mainly who are suffering due to traffic jams on the road,” residents said. They requested higher ups especially DC Ganderbal to look into the matter at the earliest and ban the heavy vehicles. The concerned Executive Engineer R&B Department Ganderbal did not respond to repeated calls—(KNO)
